Hockey Betting Lines

03/20/2010 - Dallas, TX (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Trevor Daley notched the game-winner early in the third period as Dallas overcame a three-goal effort by Jason Spezza to clip Ottawa, 5-4, at American Airlines Center.

Brad Richards tallied twice with Mike Ribeiro and Jamie Benn striking once each for the Stars, who have won two of three.

Kari Lehtonen picked up his second win with Dallas after a 25-save performance.

Spezza recorded his first hat trick of the season and added an assist for the Senators, who nonetheless slid to their fifth straight loss. Mike Fisher posted a goal and one assist while Daniel Alfredsson added two helpers.

Pascal Leclaire was pulled early in the third period after allowing five goals on 19 shots. Brian Elliott finished the game with six saves.

Daley's solo effort gave the Stars a 5-3 edge 4:33 into the third period, as he picked up an errant Ottawa pass in the neutral zone, cruised down the right side and beat Leclaire with a high wrister to the far side.

Spezza, though, brought Ottawa back within a goal at 18:33, but he was unable to get a shot off in the final minute with Elliott on the bench and the Senators skating 6-on-4 with the power play.

Fisher's power-play score on a deflection of a Spezza shot just 1:06 after the opening faceoff put the Senators ahead, then Richards equalized for the Stars at 13:55 on a man advantage.

Ribeiro gave the Stars a one-goal edge at 17:31, but Spezza beat the buzzer with a shot on a late Ottawa power play for a 2-2 deadlock.

Spezza's second goal of the contest once again gave the Sens a lead, as his tip of Chris Campoli's point shot made it 3-2 at 5:11 of the second period.

Dallas closed the period with two scores 2 1/2 minutes apart as Richards struck at 16:37 and Benn put the home team ahead with 53 seconds left.
